Since April 2029, FSHDPAK is implementing the project "Community Policing and Limited Ability - Partnership for Inclusion", with the support of FCG Swedish Development AB / PMT and through funding from the Swedish Government. The initiative aims to improve relations and foster cooperation between the State Police and the community of people with disabilities, to ensure access and inclusion.

The project will focus its interventions on:

  • Increasing awareness and capacity of state police structures at the local level, in the Municipality of Korça, to eliminate barriers, as well as to guarantee access to all services provided by the police to people with disabilities and their representative organizations;
  • Improving the knowledge of the community of people with disabilities and their organizations about the role of the State Police and the interaction of its structures with the whole community.
  • Increasing mutual trust, dialogue and institutionalizing the cooperation of organizations of persons with disabilities with state police structures and with networks created at the local level for community policing or against domestic violence and gender-based violence. Growing awareness of all structures at the local level, including the wider community, on the inclusion of disability issues.
